“Reusing and recycling these consumer electronics conserves our natural resources and reduces negative environmental impacts. I am excited to be able to bring the E-Waste Recycling Event to the East End. Last year we hosted the event in the Northside and collected 12.81 tons of unwanted e-waste that we were able to recycle. This year we are expanding it and adding the mobile B.O.P.A. (Battery, Oil, Paint, Anti-Freeze) component and hope to divert waste away from landfills to beneficial uses.” stated Vice Mayor Pro-Tem Gonzalez.
