Next Tuesday, September 4th at 5:30PM, stop by Café Adobe for a special fundraising happy hour in honor of The HEART Program. The HEART Program helps persons with developmental disabilities by providing education, training, housing, and employment programs through structured independence. This non-profit makes a real difference in the lives of its participants, and I commend Executive Director, Jane Cummins, for their continued success. As we head into Labor Day weekend, I want to take a moment to acknowledge and thank the many hard-working Houstonians that keep our city moving forward. I also want to give a special thank you to our Labor brothers and sisters for their continued commitment to working families and to protecting workers’ rights.
