This morning I would like to acknowledge and thank Inspector Leroy Rodriguez with the Public Works and Engineering Department. While working in the Oaklawn-Fullerton community in the East End, he exhibited a high-level of courtesy and professionalism when engaging with residents about upcoming work on their streets. Inspector Rodriguez took time to make sure that every resident understood the scope of the work that would be taking place in the neighborhood and answered their questions. On behalf of the entire District H team, I thank Inspector Rodriguez and the Public Works and Engineering Department for a job well done.
I would like to invite community members to stop by the Independence Heights Community Health Center located at 4040 Yale Street for a very special event on September 4th. The health center will be welcoming Dr. Dionne Tompkins and will celebrate the opening of their brand new dental clinic. For more information, please reach out via phone at 713-290-0001 or go online. Community health providers are a key resource for families and help keep our neighborhoods healthier.
